Right now FSU is in the midst of big changes hiring new coaches under head coach Willie Taggart and searching everywhere for recruits, JUCO's, transfers and grad transfers. The single biggest need is rebuilding the O-line as last year's O-line was rated dead last in the country. There is also a question mark at QB and as of now the starter is to be determined. (or possibly recruited or transferred in).

On the flip side, please tell us how Boise State will be looking for the coming game in Jacksonville, Fl., August 31st. (starters returning, QB, offense and defense, etc.)

Will try to keep you updated as time goes along.

Both will be breaking in new QBs. Both teams will probably not be as good as they usually are early in the season but still I can't wait to see the two teams play. It will be a good game.

Re: FSU's QB

Right now FSU has 4 QB's, a RS sophomore that has played in past games for 2 years, a walk on and 2 QB transfers from Louisville and Wisconsin. The heir apparent is the RS sophomore. He is very good but he is really skinny (6'5" 180 more or less). It remains to be seen if any of the others can beat him out. The O-line is improved but that isn't saying much. FSU's weakest element on offense has a lot to prove. The new OC and O-line coach are in place and everyone is excited and hopeful. More news later.

What's the news with your new QB and coaches and things in general?

FSU's top O-lineman appears to be transferring to Bama....Ouch! Last thing the already weak O-line needed. Also, former starting QB is off the team and the heir apparent is 6'5" 180 ("Slim Reaper"). New backup QB has transferred in from Wisconsin. Still lots of questions all around on offense, defense and ST's. What's up with the Broncos?

bout the same... Still no clear leader for the QB spot and a few players that have seen playing time in the past have transferred out but in all probability they saw the writing on the wall and knew that incoming players would probably pass them up for playing time.

I think the biggest concern for Boise is the loss of their Defensive coordinator, Andy Avalos to Oregon. Harsin promoted form within and says the defense wont change ... we'll see.

Thanks bayou.....
Please tell us more about the guys that are in the running for QB and how that is going. (probabilities for who might get the nod?).

And maybe your personal thoughts on how all of this is going and how you think BS will look in the coming season.

Most of the prognosticators are predicting 7-5 for FSU in 2019. A whole lot will depend on a patch-work and unproven O-line. The new OC Kendal Briles from the U of Houston has a lot to prove. And the O-line coach Randy Clements that came with him has a daunting task, i.e. how to make a serviceable O-line out of a line that was ranked last in the nation last year! If the FSU offense starts seeing a lot of 3 and outs like last year that will weigh heavily on the defense which ended up totally gassed like much of last year.

Having said that, many FSU fans are optimistic and believe Coach Clements will work a miracle with the O-line and are predicting 8-4 and 9-3. FSU also has a new Special Teams coach and that will be a big improvement as ST's were the worst possible last year! Lot's of big changes coming!

Good luck Boise State ... lets hope for a clean hard fought game without any injuries ... cheers!
