BOISE, Idaho-
Boise State men’s basketball signed Christian Sengfelder to a Financial Aid Contract, head coach Leon Rice announced Friday. Sengfelder was a three-year starter at Fordham and will be eligible to compete for the Broncos immediately upon earning his undergraduate degree. The Leverkusen, Germany, native is expected to complete his degree after just three years and will have one season of eligibility remaining.

Sengfelder, listed at 6-foot-7 and 238 pounds, started all 93 games he appeared in for the Rams and averaged 32.3 minutes per game. He eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau as a junior and averaged 11.4 points per game for his career to go with 5.8 rebounds. A career 35 percent three-point shooter, Sengfelder made 160 triples in his Fordham career to rank ninth in program history.

In 32 games last season, Sengfelder posted career highs of 12.1 points per game and 72 made three-pointers, while leading the Rams at 5.1 rebounds per game.

A psychology major, Sengfelder recorded a 4.0 grade-point average during the Fall 2016 semester. In February, he was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 First Team. Boise State has had an Academic All-District honoree each of the past two seasons (Nick Duncan and James Reid). Sengfelder is expected to begin graduate work at Boise State in kinesiology.

Sengfelder represented his home country of Germany at the 2015 U20 European Championship, as well as the 2013 U18 European Championship. He led his U20 squad with 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

The regular signing period runs through May 17
