BOISE, Idaho
– Boise State will host its sixth-annual Open Scrimmage in Bronco Gym, Friday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. prior to the football game later that night at 7 p.m. The scrimmage will be the first opportunity for fans to watch the 2018-19 team.

The scrimmage will be free for fans. The format will feature a handful of periods – varying in length – with players rotating between teams throughout the scrimmage, which is scheduled to last approximately an hour.

The 2017-18 campaign saw the team go 23-9 and take second in the Mountain West, earning a berth to the NIT. The Broncos finished 13-5 in MW play last season, making them the only school in the conference to win at least 11 conference games each of the last four seasons.

More impressively, ninth-year head coach Leon Rice and the Broncos are one of just 21 teams in the country to win at least 20 games each of the last six seasons.

Last season was also historic in regards to attendance, as the team averaged 8,614 fans in nine conference home games – the highest attendance average for conference play in almost 20 years.

The 2018-19 roster will feature nine returners, including returning starters Zach Haney (redshirt senior) and Justinian Jessup (junior) along with the 2017-18 Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year, Alex Hobbs (junior). Seven newcomers – five freshmen and two transfers – will join this year's roster, as well.

Season tickets are still on sale for the 2018-19 season. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone at 208-426-4737 or in person at the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office located on the west side of Albertsons Stadium.
