Do whatever you can to get your school into a BCS conference. Seriously. Winning against terrible teams and having to "win big" against them to impress the voters does not prepare your team (kicker included) for a close game.

That is why you lost. There have only been probably 4 or 5 times in the last half decade where you have had close games...where your coaches have had close games...and more importantly where your players have had close games.

You have a great team. The best nonAQ team out there. But you guys have got to play a schedule that prepares you for this kindof stuff.

Bottom line is you guys are not mentally prepared well enough to play these kinds of games. That is the benefit in playing in a BCS conference. (Other than the Big East.) lol

You may be partially right. They prepare all season long for these games, but they don't come. There is no benefit of BCS ranking. Its a greed system and that is all it is. The BCS system is only that, a system and is corrupt as hell. It's better to have lost to a conference foe than a BCS team. That leaves folks like you speculating without knowing for sure just how good these kids are. One loss happens to a lot of teams, in the BCS it means nothing, two losses still nothing, four, five still bowl eligible. But outside of that system, one loss is total devastation to the conference, the team and the fans. But we are clean. And that means a lot more than lining everyone's pockets like a cheap two bit whore.

we would love the invitation....but in the last round we didn't get one...

F.Y.I. Boise State can't just up and CHOOSE to join a B.C.S. conference........here's a hint........they would have to be INVITED to join a B.C.S. conference. And I have yet to see any of the B.C.S. conferences extending an invite to Boise State. The PAC 10 just expanded to 12 teams (for next season) and Boise State wasn't even remotely considered.

The Big 12, which would be the next most logical option, as well as the ONLY other viable option, has an opening next season (with the loss of Colorado) but they also, apparently, have no interest in inviting Boise State. So, the completely clueless, like you, can sit there all day long saying ridiculous things like "Do whatever you can to get your school into a BCS conference"........say it until you are blue in the face. It will make NO DIFFERENCE.

Secondly, your assertion here that THIS is why Boise State lost (in overtime) to Nevada is about the single most absurd thing I've ever read on any forum. And that's saying a lot as there have been some REAL doozies in the past. Clearly you are smoking (or ingesting) some really good stuff.

Rzrbk doesn't seem to watch much BSU football, cause we've had two close games this year, and the endings (outside of Brotz missing those field goals) were as good as anyone could possibly hope for given the situations. I'm referring to:
1. The 1:30 drive to beat VT
2. The KM-TY bomb with a diving catch to set up the first of Brotz's misses with :01 left in regulation.

It doesn't get much better than that - but this guy points to ONE player missing a couple field goals in ONE game, and someone extrapolates that failure to an entire team. LOL

this coming from a fan of a team who has never played in a BCS bowl, thanks for the tip spiffy.

The other conferences are scared to play Boise State cause they don't want a loss. Boise State is the most exciting college football team in the naion and one of the best. They should be playing those other teams that have a 1 loss record. If the BCS ranks them as the 10th best team, they why are they picked to play a team with a 7-5 record in a bowl game.
Last year they should of play Florida since they were ranked beside each other, but the BCS was afraid that Boise State would win. So they gave Florida a push-oover team like Cincinatti to play.

Re: Bronco Fans.......RAMROD

The BCS hasn't always been around as a means of determining heirarchy in college football. Saying Arkansas has "Never" played in a BCS bowl is a bit of a missnomer. Having said that, there has been a dry spell as far as BCS participation. Cotton, Orange, Sugar, ect. ect. are bowls that Arkansas has participated in numerous times just not under the BCS blanket so to speak. I do not think that jumping to a BCS conference is smart at this point for your program. As far as your comment, I find it a bit condesending......as if Arkansas were just some bush league team that happened up on a cinderella season and were going to our first bowl period! In fact if memory serves me, our paths have crossed a couple of times and in 2000 with one of our weaker teams, we beat a veteran laden Boise team 38-31 when that idiot Houston Nutt(HC at the time) went conservative too early and almost handed you the game. In 2002......well you didn't fare well at all against us suffering a 41-14 drubbing. All that to say this, you guys are still living on that defeat of a so-so OU, thinking you can run with the big boys. All the national hype went out the window when you layed an egg against Nevada....who? NEVADA ? You guys would never last in a real football conference....You guys would be sniffing the basement in the SEC year end, year out. Even Vanderbilt would be a load for you guys to handle. Here's at tip for you "spiffy", stop reading your own press clippings, outside of your little Siberia of a schedule you play, you guys are just another wannabe begging for a serious reality check. Mabey we'll play again when we need to buy a first game win.
