THE GAME: Boise State men's basketball continues its homestand Sunday, against Southern Utah. The Broncos (7-2) and Thunderbirds (2-4) are slated to tip off at 4:30 p.m. (MT), at Taco Bell Arena. The game is the second half of a double-header as the Boise State women take on Eastern Washington at 2 p.m.
RADIO INFORMATION: Boise State's games will be broadcast live on the Bronco Radio Network, with KBOI (670 AM) serving as the flagship station. The broadcast will also be streamed live at BroncoSports.com.

ABOUT SOUTHERN UTAH: The Thunderbirds enter Sunday with a 2-4 record, but have won their last two games. A.J. Hess leads the team with 14.5 points per game, including shooting 45 percent from three-point range. SUU is shooting 48.5 percent from the field, but is allowing 78.2 points per game.
SERIES HISTORY: Boise State leads the all-time series 9-1. The last meeiting came Nov. 29, 2008, a 62-59 Bronco victory at Taco Bell Arena. Five of the 10 meetings have been decided by single digits, including Boise State's lone loss (71-64), Dec. 12, 1995.
LAS VEGAS CLASSIC: Boise State's next two games are part of the Las Vegas Classic. As part of the tournament, the Broncos were guaranteed two home games and two games in Las Vegas (Dec. 22 and 23).
RPI RISING: Boise State is ranked No. 12 in the latest RPI released by the NCAA (Dec. 13). Three MW schools are in the top 25 as Colorado State checks in at No. 9 and San Diego State is No. 22. The Broncos have been boosted by two true road wins and two more neutral-site wins. The Broncos' games against non-Division I opponents do not factor in the RPI. UW-Green Bay is currently ranked first, the only other two-loss team in the top 15.
GIVING NOTHING AWAY: Boise State has excelled at playing mistake-free basketball this season. The Broncos rank No. 9 in the NCAA in fewest turnovers with 10.2 per game. They have already had three games this year with fewer than 10 and have not had more than 13 in a game. Boise State is not wasting possessions at the free throw line either. The Broncos are shooting free throws at a 76.5 percent clip this season. That mark ranks 13th in the NCAA. Boise State is the best free throw shooting team in the Mountain West and commits the fewest turnovers per game in the conference.
SO NICE THEY NAMED HIM THRICE: James Webb III has exploded the last four games. Webb is averaging 12.8 points and 8.0 rebounds per game over the last four, including two starts. He did not score in Boise State's first five contests, seeing the floor in just three of them and playing a combined 13 minutes. Webb led Boise State in scoring at North Carolina State (12 points) after not playing the first 26 minutes of the game. He hit double figures again in 27 minutes off the bench at Saint Mary's before starting the next two games and recording double-doubles in each.
IMPROVED MARKS-MANSHIP: Derrick Marks spent the offseason working on his jump shot and it is paying dividends. Marks is shooting 52 percent from three-point range, going 13-for-25 from deep. He has made multiple triples in four games this season, including two games with three three-pointers. In his first three seasons, Marks had just eight games with multiple threes and only one game with more than two. He has made multiple triples in three-straight games, the first time in his career he has done so in consecutive games.
SENIOR SAVVY: Seniors Derrick Marks and Igor Hadziomerovic have put together impressive streaks of strong ball handling. Over the last four games, Marks has 16 assists and three turnovers in 114 minutes. The stretch included a span of 70:51 without a turnover. Hadziomerovic has led the Broncos in assists the past two games, dishing out five against Adams State (Dec. 9) and six against NNU (Dec. 11). He also committed just one turnover in those games.
HADZIOMEROVIC HONED IN: Senior Igor Hadziomerovic said he feels as healthy, well-conditioned and confident as he has since his freshman year. Early on that is resulting in Hadziomerovic's best offensive season. He is 15-for-17 (88.2 percent) from the free throw line and 3-for-5 (60 percent) from three-point range. Through his first three years, Hadziomerovic was a 59.2 percent free throw shooter (61-for-103) and a 26.9 percent three-point shooter (28-for-104).
