EXPECTING A LARGE CROWD:[/B] As of Friday afternoon, more than 9.000 tickets had been sold for the game. The last time the Broncos hosted a crowd of more than 10,000 was March 9, 2013, against San Diego State.

PARKING:[/B] The West Stadium Lot will be by permit only. Parking in the East Stadium Lot is open to permit holders and available to purchase for $5 on a single-game basis.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO STATE:[/B] The Aztecs are 18-5 on the season, including an 8-2 mark in the Mountain West. They are currently tied with Wyoming in first place. The game Sunday begins a daunting stretch for San Diego State, playing Boise State, Wyoming, Colorado State and New Mexico in consecutive games over 10 days. The Aztecs rank No. 3 in the NCAA, allowing just 53.5 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY: [/B]San Diego State leads the all-time series 8-1. The teams have met eight times since Boise State joined the Mountain West, seven of which have been decided by six points or fewer. The Broncos lone win came March, 9, 2013, in Boise.

LAST TIME OUT:[/B] Boise State defeated Utah State 68-63, Tuesday, for its first all-time win in Logan (now 1-18). The Broncos got 23 points from Derrick Marks, including 17 in the second half. Marks hit a 35-foot three-pointer with 2:56to go, putting the Broncos on top for good at 63-60. James Webb III added 18 points and Nick Duncan hit five triples on his way to 17 points.

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION:[/B] Since the calendar turned to 2015, Derrick Marks has elevated his game to a new level. Marks leads the country in scoring in 2015, averaging 25.5 points per game and has led the Broncos in scoring each of the eight games, including five games with at least 28. The end of 2014 saw Marks twist his ankle against Houston (Dec. 22), miss the game against Loyola (Dec. 23) and score just eight points against Colorado State (Dec. 31), while still recovering.

ONE OF A KIND:[/B] Of the 840 players in the country averaging more than 10 points per game, Derrick Marks is the only one shooting 50 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 82.5 percent from the free throw line. Marks ranks 15th in scoring at 19.8 points per game.

LEAGUE LEADER:[/B] Derrick Marks leads the Mountain West in scoring at 19.8 points per game. Marks is averaging 23.6 points per game in conference play, also the top mark in the Mountain West. The second-leading scorer in conference play (Larry Nance Jr., Wyoming) is averaging 18.7 points per game.

IMPROVED MARKS-MANSHIP:[/B] Derrick Marks spent the offseason working on his jumpshot and it is paying dividends. Marks is shooting 54.7 percent from three-point range, going 47-for-86 from deep. He has made multiple triples in 13 games this season, including 10 games with three three-pointers. In his first three seasons, Marks had just eight games with multiple threes and only one game with more than two. He made multiple triples in six-straight games (Dec. 6-22), the first time in his career he did so in consecutive games. He made a career-high five against Abilene Christian (Dec. 20), and matched it with a 5-for-6 effort against Utah State (Jan. 3). His 47 makes on the year are a career high- he made 48 in his first three years combined.

COUNTED ON AT CRUNCH TIME:[/B] Senior Derrick Marks has made a career out of being Boise State's go-to guy late in games. Marks has scored nearly 60 percent of his points after halftime in his career (987 points), including a staggering 69 percent as a sophomore.

BRONCOS BOUNCE BACK:[/B] Boise State started Mountain West play 0-3, after holding leads in the second half of all three games. The Broncos have responded with six straight wins against UNLV, at New Mexico home against San Jose State, at Air Force, home against Colorado State and at Utah State. Three weeks ago Boise State left Laramie, Wyo., at 0-3 in conference, a half game ahead of last place and three and a half games behind first place. Now Wyoming is still in first, but the Broncos have closed the gap. They currently sit in third, a game and a half behind the Cowboys and San Diego State.

WINNING WHEN IT MATTERS:[/B] Boise State has won six straight conference games for the sixth time in school history, the first since joining the Mountain West and the first time since 2003-04. The school record for most consecutive conference wins in a season is seven, accomplished three times in the Big Sky. This is the 15th different season in which the Broncos have won at least four consecutive conference games, in 10 of the previous 14 seasons the feat was accomplished, the Broncos advanced to the postseason.

RETURNING THE FAVOR:[/B] Eleven times in the last three seasons Boise State has dropped the first game of a conference series. The Broncos are 9-2 in the return games, going 4-1 in 2012-13, 3-1 in 2013-14 and 1-0 so far in 2014-15. At this point there are no remaining revenge games on the schedule, but the Broncos are yet to begin two series (San Diego State and Fresno State).

BREAKING BARRIERS:[/B] Boise State has five road wins this season, including victories at New Mexico (Jan. 18) and Utah State (Feb. 3). Prior to this year, the Broncos were 0-3 at New Mexico and 0-18 at Utah State. Boise State is winless at two more MW venues that remain on the schedule. The Broncos will visit UNLV (Feb. 18) and San Diego State (Feb. 28), looking for their first road win in each series.

LOTS OF TRIPLES:[/B] Boise State has made at least 10 three-pointers in seven of its last eight games. The Broncos have hit double-digit triples in 10 of 22 games this season. Prior to this year, Boise State had played 848 games in the three-point era and made at least 10 threes just 85 times.

SO NICE THEY NAMED HIM THRICE:[/B] James Webb III took his opportunity and ran with it. Webb did not score in Boise State's first five contests, seeing the floor in just three of them and playing a combined 13 minutes. In the Broncos' sixth game, he led Boise State in scoring at North Carolina State (12 points) after not playing the first 26 minutes. Webb has since averaged 12.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game (16 games). He has started 15 games, scored in double figures 13 times and recorded four double-doubles.
