This week’s special edition of commit round-up is only special because it’s my first one ever and I’m still figuring out how to organize it.

Michael Young - OL
Queen Creek went on to beat Vista Grande with a blowout of 36-0. Michael gave crucial blocks to allow his team’s running game to be established as well as protecting his Quarterback. The highlight here this week was his pick-6 which is one for the archives.

Check out that pick-6 here: http://www.hudl.com/video/3/4126055/580d7d0790f9932a3c486e

Chase Cord - QB
Chase led his team to a 54-0 rout over Greenway High School this week with a passer rating of 146.9 which is his 2nd best on the season. I haven’t seen someone look so calm under pressure in a long time. Out of the 5 touchdowns he had against Greenway, 2 of them, he was almost sacked as he calmly got the ball into the receivers hands. He showed off his arm with a 59-yard touchdown pass hitting him in perfect stride. Chase was 11/16 for 184yds during the game and was able to pull off a 10 yd run for a TD showing his ability to make plays out of the pocket.

Check out his 59 yard TD pass here: http://www.hudl.com/profile/2977591/chase-cord

Mike Young - DB

Mike had 2 assists for tackles this week in Dodge City’s 7-36 loss against Garden City. Mike recently released his Dec Grad Highlights which provide great insight into his ability to make plays on the ball.

Check them out here:

Breydon Boyd - LB
Breydon Boyd helped lead his defense to keep Tompkins to only 7 points as Katy High School dominated in a 42-7 victory. Here are Breydon’s Woodland Highlights, which exemplify his ability to sniff out the run.

Check them out here:

Aisa Kelemete - DE
The Highland Rams crushed Hillcrest in a 24-9 victory and Kelemete was a large part in that. He is seen putting on crazy pressure in the backfield and coming up with a couple sacks. Aisa has been suffering from injury throughout the season, but he showed no signs of holding back this game. My favorite plays are from the 0:50 mark and onward. I think you’ll enjoy these highlights as much as I did.

Check out Kelemete flattening the Hillcrest QB here:

Zeke Birch - DE
Madison lost to Skyline this week 10-28. Zeke has been quiet all season and originally I wasn’t going to post anything because the only thing I have is from last season however with Defensive Ends becoming more important than ever I want to post these Highlights to show the type of commit talent Boise State is getting at DE.

Here’s the highlight reel from last season:

Marques Evans - DB
Newbury Park suffered a loss to Calabasas 14-40 this week. Marques pulled some decent stats this week, with 2 total tackles as well as a Blocked FG. There has been no highlight reel from this week, but as I was watching the Highlight reel from the game against Westlake I was impressed and I think you guys will be too.

Checkout the Highlights here:

Jermani Brown - DB
The Trojans lost to rival Monacan this past weekend in a devastating 7-45 score. Jermani showed us multiple different sides of him during this game. He was able to make plays on defense when he was needed, as well as make a few catches on offense. When called upon he showed his vision and ability to see holes in the special teams putting his team in great position after kickoffs.

Quentin Brown - DB
The Conroe Tigers lost to The Woodlands this past week 7-48. Quentin Brown has shown his ability to wrap up tacklers all season, and it was no different this week. Even with the loss, Quentin delivered a 17-second highlight reel to show us how to stop the run as a DB.

Tyreque Jones - DB
The Spartans blew out Rim of the World in a 21-0 victory and Tyreque played a part in it. The greatest part about this game is that Tyreque was playing QB/WR and it was fun to watch. He had 3 catches for a total of 36 yards as well as a rushing TD on an option play with him at QB. This Highlight reel was just pure fun to watch.

John Ojukwu - OL
The Boise Braves picked up a win against Nampa with a score of 44-23. There was no highlight reel from this game, but from searching around in the internet Ojukwu provided great protection for his QB and was able to deliver during times he needed to run block. Ojukwu is a fantastic local pick up for BSU.

Well, if I goofed please tell me because that happens when you are running off a couple hours of sleep. I didn't pick which videos to embed, so don't blame me. I hope this delivered a great round-up. You may have noticed a commit or 2 missing and that is because they had a bye week! Thank you all for joining me and I promise I won’t be late next time. Actually, I don’t promise anything in that regard… Have a good week everyone!

Tyreque Jones is one I think who could end up being a huge sleeper in this class. He's a heck of an athlete combined with great size.
