PICKED FOURTH IN MW PRESEASON POLL: The Broncos were picked to finish fourth in the Mountain West Men's Basketball Preseason Poll, the conference announced last month. The predicted order of finish along with the Preseason All-MW team was voted on by media members who cover the league. Boise State picked up 139 points, trailing only New Mexico (153 points), San Diego State (188 points, 1 first-place vote) and Nevada (207 points, 18 first-place votes).

2017-18 SEASON REVIEW: The Broncos finished last season 23-9 and took second place in the Mountain West thanks to a 13-5 league record. Boise State earned its second-straight bid to the NIT, giving the team its fifth postseason appearance under head coach Leon Rice.

The 23 wins last season make the Broncos one of just 21 teams in the country to win at least 20 games each of the last six seasons. The 13 wins in conference play make Boise State the only school in the conference to win at least 11 conference games each of the last four seasons.

Last season was also historic in regards to attendance, as the team averaged 8,614 fans in nine conference home games – the highest attendance average for conference play in almost 20 years.

Chandler Hutchison was named to the All-Mountain West First Team and Mountain West All-Defensive Team while also receiving his second-straight nod to the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District VIII Team. Hutchison was drafted 22nd by the Chicago Bulls in the 2018 NBA Draft, making him the first first-round draft pick in program history.

Alex Hobbs was named the 2017-18 Mountain West Sixth Man of the Year, as well.

2018-19 TEAM: The 2018-19 roster will feature nine returners, including returning starters Zach Haney (redshirt senior) and Justinian Jessup (junior), along with Hobbs (junior). Seven newcomers – five freshmen and two transfers – will also join this year's roster.

The Broncos return 46.9 and 48.6 percent of their points and rebounds, respectively, from last year's team.

ABOUT VANGUARD: The Lions come into Monday with a 3-0 record thanks to wins against California Institute of Technology (74-68), University of Saint Katherine (102-64) and La Sierra University (95-60). Vanguard is led by Malachi Hoosein (16.3 ppg) and Isaiah Gentry (14.3 ppg). The contest against the Broncos will also be an exhibition for the Lions.
