I'm on this new Rivals App
Can you guys hear me?
I'm loving this thing!
Can you still hear me?
Man alive!
I just can't say enough about this new app. It's already changed my life.
Case in point:
I was at the Kroger, checking out, casually scrolling with my brand new Rivals app.
Then, out of nowhere, this 9.5 enters my space and screams "OMG! A Rivals app!"
Now normally I would shrink in the moment, but not today. I had this whole new confidence, a sort of "I've got this new app and you don't" swagger.
Before I could answer her, we locked eyes--just got lost in the moment, you know.
The world around us no longer existed. It was just the two of us. We didn't need words. We just needed the courage to acknowledge what was unfolding.
I reached out to her, softly stroking her cheek with the back of my hand, and then, slowly, I ran my fingers through her hair.
And as she began to beat me senseless with her 8-inch stiletto, it was then that I knew: I had severely misjudged the moment.
In and out of consciousness, barely breathing, I made it to the customer service desk, but not before being throat punched several times by some guy I can only guess was her husband.
I'm in the hospital now. The meds are working--no wifi signal to speak of though.
Got some ringing in my ears.
But, I'm not bitter. I don't blame my Rivals app.
Sure, I was beaten within an inch of my life. Sure, I'm in an inordinate amount of pain.
But you know what?
I'm confident! Ironically, I've never felt more alive!
Thank you Rivals App. Thank you for this whole new outlook.
I can't wait to see what new and exciting experience you bring me next.
