Athlon Sports predictions for 2013 for MWC football

Boise State is predicted to go 12-1 overall and 8-0 in the MWC next fall. Boise State is also predicted to win the Mountain Division of the MWC football teams. With Utah State predicted to finish in 2nd place with a 6-2 MWC record in the Mountain Division.

Fresno State is predicted to win the West Division - also with a 6-2 MWC record with San Jose State, San Diego State and Nevada all tied for 2nd place in the West Division with a 5-3 MWC record.

Much more so than Phil Steele - he always ranks Boise State FAR below what they end up being ranked at the end of each season in his pre-season rankings. And virtually everyone else ranks Boise State higher than he does every year in the various pre-season ranking predictions.

As off base as Phil Steele is every year - regarding Boise State - he's a genius compared to the Massey Ratings. They have Boise State losing three games this fall. And BARELY beating Fresno State by one point. Massey has Boise State losing by a field goal (21-24) to Washington. Then losing by a touchdown at Utah State (20-26) and then losing a third game at B.Y.U. by seven points (14-21). That's a prediction that Boise State will go 5-3 in their first eight games this fall (including the one point - 28-27 - win over Fresno State).

The mental midgets at Massey show Utah State going undefeated in their first season in the MWC and only losing ONE game all season - that being a 6 point loss at U.S.C. (22-28).
