BOISE, Idaho – Boise State will induct its first Hall of Fame class in more than a decade, holding a ceremony April 13, 2018, Director of Athletics Curt Apsey announced Monday.

“This announcement has been a long time coming,” Apsey said. “I can’t tell you how excited we are to bestow our greatest honor to very-deserving former student-athletes.”

In conjunction with the Hall of Fame’s long-awaited return, Boise State will be accepting online nominations for the first time. Fans can submit nominations for their favorite former Broncos from Dec. 18 through Jan. 1 at the HALL OF FAME NOMINATION PAGE.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be five years removed from earning their undergraduate degree from Boise State.

Tickets will go on sale once inductees have been announced, and a location for the ceremony will also be announced at that point.

“Despite the time that has passed since our last induction, we’re not necessarily looking to double or triple what a typical class would look like, since that would take away from the overall experience,” Apsey said. “The Hall of Fame committee will come up with a number that we are comfortable with, and then go from there.”

Questions regarding the process can be directed to the Bronco Athletic Association either by phone (208-426-3556) or e-mail (baa@boisestate.edu).

Boise State last held a Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2007. A history of the Boise State Athletic Hall of Fame, including a list of inductees by class can be found HERE.
