BRAWLEY – The Brawley Union High School Wildcats opened up the 2018 football season on Friday night hosting the Gila Ridge High Hawks of Yuma.
The earliest start of a season on record brought expected sloppy play and extra warm muggy weather, but it couldn’t discourage a big crowd from attending the home opener on Warne Field.

The Wildcats nearly tripled the stats in the first half of the game, but only went into the intermission with a six-point lead. The second half fared better as Brawley extended their lead 27-7 early in the fourth quarter, only to brave a valiant effort from the rejuvenated Hawks
