Brad- Concluding the final game of the season against a lackluster San Jose State the Broncos pulled away late to finish the regular season with a victory. The Broncos look to finish their season with one victory in the familiar Poinsettia Bowl. Northern Illinois is very depleted at quarterback and I would assume the Broncos will take advantage of that with a healthy defense once more. Boise State will take an early lead and finish the game strong. I see this going:

Boise State 45 - Northern Illinois 20

Mike: It’s the last game of the season and this team is remains inconsistent. They have had ample time to get healthy and prepare for the bowl game and also found offensive adjustments that worked in the SJSU game. Regardless of who plays QB for NIU, it won’t be an area of strength for the Huskies. The Broncos defense should find ways to exploit this with a heavy dose of pass rushing and will give the ball-hawks Thompson and Deayon one last game to pad their totals. For the Broncos offense they will want to find creative ways to challenge the Huskies secondary and a WR not named Thomas Sperbeck will have to step up. They usually find success when they get the TEs involved and the same can hold true in this game. The Broncos should win comfortably, but how comfortably is a matter of if they can establish the run game early and not allow the Huskies to build any momentum in their run game.

Boise State: 35, Northern Illinois: 17
