BOISE, Idaho - ESPN is the television and video streaming rights holder for Boise State’s season opener at Louisiana, Sept. 3. Through its agreement with the Sun Belt Conference, of which Louisiana is a member, ESPN sublicensed the game to the American Sports Network.
While the game will be available on ASN in to-be-determined parts of the country, that will not be the case in the state of Idaho. Throughout the Gem State, the Boise State-Louisiana game will only be available on ESPN3 and WatchESPN.
There are several ways in which Bronco fans will be able to watch the game on their computer and streaming devices, including your television set. Many of these options are outlined below.
ESPN3 and WatchESPN do not require an additional subscription fee. However, for the full slate of ESPN programming on WatchESPN you must have a subscription with an affiliated television service provider (CLICK HERE FOR FULL LIST), or for ESPN3, subscribe to a participating high speed internet service provider (CLICK HERE FOR FULL LIST).
Watch ESPN on your Computer
Visit watchespn.com, and search through the "Live Now" or "Upcoming" events, to select the Boise State-Louisiana game. You may then be prompted to log into your respective TV or internet provider (i.e. – DirecTV, Dish, Cableone etc.) to continue viewing. Once the game is playing on your computer, you can then connect your computer to your television with an HDMI converter. This will allow fans to watch the game on their big screen.
WatchESPN App
On streaming devices (i.e. - Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android and Kindle Fire, Android TV, Chromecast, Xbox One, etc.) fans need to download the WatchESPN app. Once again, fans will be prompted to log into their respective TV or internet provider, select “Live Events” and choose the Boise State game.
Mobile Devices
Cellphones and tablets also have the option to download the WatchESPN app. Go through the same setup process as your computer and streaming boxes.
If All Else Fails…
Countless restaurants and sports bars will carry the game in-house.
