Good Morning. My son and I are coming in for the University of Louisiana game Sept. 18th. What can we expect for weather conditions? Since we will have Friday free and possible Saturday morning, any recommendations for places to see and good places to eat?

Thanks,

Welcome to Boise Cajun!, Downtown Boise is a fun place maybe not as fun as N'awlins we still have fun. Her's a great link for resources and info on Boise.

Not sure how old your son is but downtown Boise on a Friday night can be a lot of fun a good 8 block area of plenty of bars and clubs all with in walking distance. Clean and very safe. If you want to grab something to eat there are several restaurants in the area as well. I would recommend checking out Bardenay restaurant and distillery on the basque Block or maybe the new 10 Barrel Brew Pub.

I'm sure others will have some suggestions as well. Hope you enjoy your visit!.

Boise Info

they have a new kayak park not too far from Boise, though I'm sure the water levels will be down.

they also have some zip lining out at Tamarack, about 45 minutes from Boise. If you don't want to zipline you can keep going north from Tamarack and hit up McCall, ID. Beautiful lake with wave runner rentals etc....

There's a new place called Big Al's thats pretty cool (bowling, video games, darts, pool, huge arcade and pretty good food, their steaks surprised me in a good way. There's also a 21 and older cub called Caddyshacks located inside of Big Al's, huuuuge bigscreen t.v.

Or you can hike the foothills:

Appreciate the info.

My son is ex-Air Force back in college, senior year. We live between Baltimore and Annapolis in Maryland.

Will be my 1st Cajun game since 07, just don't get home like I use to.

Many years ago on different boards (around 02-03), use to discuss Boise and UL. We had just hired Rickey Bustle and were trying to build a program left in disaster. Well BSU has set the bar high, hopefully we can follow. With Hud in his 4th year, he has made us respectable. Rest of sports also doing well. Softball always in top 10, baseball consenses #1 at end of year, men's basketball weht to dance.

Now we need to get into one of the Big 5 conferences.

Looking forward to meeting many of you next month.

May it be a safe and good game.
