Spoke with 2017 three-star Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis running back Cyrus Habibi-Likio last night, and he had a lot to say on his interest in Boise State following his official visit.

"It went really well I loved it," Habibi-Likio told Rivals of his Boise trip. "I got to tour the facilities and check out the game. I went for a hike on table rock - it was pretty dope. Made a lot of friends and also hangout with [running back] Jeremy [McNichols], number thirteen.

"He told me his story about originally being committed to Utah and how he's happy he made that switch. We talked about the offense - I realized if you're a good running back and want to go to the NFL, Boise State is the place."

It goes without saying that the three-star Cali prospect, a former Washington State commit, was watching the Boise State running backs intently vs Colorado State. The Broncos have primarily used McNichols as the main back this season, but freshman Alexander Mattison has also added 99 yards and one rushing touchdown on 19 carries.

McNichols ran for 217 yards and two touchdowns on 40 carries against the Rams, a 28-23 Boise State victory. But Habibi-Likio isn't keen on numbers. Instead, he's focused more on the relationships with the coaches and the scheme the offense uses and, if he were to sign with Boise, wants to make sure the fit is perfect all around.

"The offense is built around the running back - that stood out the most," Habibi-Likio said of Boise. "They are really high on my list. I feel like I can do more than run the ball and their offense gives me a lot of options. They're top three for sure.

As things stand now the three-star back is keeping things open and does not plan to make a second commitment until all five official visits are complete. USC recently extended an offer and will get one of his remaining three official visits. The other two are still being sorted out at this point.

Habibi-Likio took his first official to Utah on Sept. 10, followed up by his second to Boise State on Oct. 15. Even though the three-star prospect hasn't taken an official to SoCal to watch the Trojans, the offer alone has them right back in the ball game.

"As of right now Utah and Boise State," Habibi-Likio said, when asked who he has in his top three. "Because I took a visit there [both schools]. Then USC is third - this can change at any moment though."

With the Broncos currently unbeaten this season at 6-0 and No.14 in the latest Associated Press Top 25, the three-star back knows BSU has the talent to run the table and he's excited to see where the Broncos do end up when it's all said and done.

One thing Habibi-Likio does know is Bryan Harsin is the right man for the job to get the Broncos back to national prominence.

"We text every week [and] it's a very strong relationship," Habibi-Likio said of his relationship with Harsin. "Love that guy. He's very confident and caring. He's a players coach that calls good plays - that's rare. [On my visit] he gave me a presentation that was pretty dope. Basically covered how they work very hard and want to win out. They have a lot of big games in the next few years and he wants me to help them beat those teams."

If Boise State is able to run the table this season that could seal the decision for the three-star prospect: "It would impact my decision in a major way. They have something special and they prove everyone wrong. I'd love to shock the world at Boise."
