Alright, here is the post all of you have been waiting for.

There will be 6 recruits taking their official visits this weekend, 1 of which is already committed. 3 of the recruits have very strong interest in Boise State and one or all of them committing during the weekend or shortly after would not surprise me at all (keep in mind some like a day to think it over and let the emotion subside a bit. Others like to talk it over with family who may have not been able to join. Still others already have the idea of committing heading into the visit and do so on the visit if all goes well).

1) LB Breydon Boyd: One of the long-tenured commits, Boyd will be making his 4th visit to the Blue, his first official and his first chance to see a game. Boyd will play an important role as recruiter for the other visitors this weekend and is prepared for that role. He said "Whatever I need to do to help Coach Uscher recruit other players and get some commitments, I will help the team. My goal is to continue to have a winning tradition at BSU when I am there and it starts with recruiting good players to become one team and one family." I will have a full article on Boyd up probably tomorrow.
- Status: Committed

2) WR JC Angulo: The 2-star WR plays above his ranking in my opinion. His speed and size would make for a good deep threat (I see the athleticism and tools of Chaz Anderson, but much more polished and consistent). His other biggest offer is Colorado State. Boyd told me that Angulo is "high on Boise State and pumped for his visit." Having his good friend and teammate there, as well as taking his visit a week after being offered are all good signs.
- Prediction: He is the most likely to commit. I would be very surprised if he did not.

3) WR Bryan Thompson: The long-awaited visit should finally take place this weekend. The 4-star WR has been wanting to see Boise State since early in the summer, and has a strong relationship with Junior Adams that is well-documented in here. He is a big-time talent that has legitimate interest in the Broncos, but also seems to be interested in other schools and hoping his recruiting picks up. Still, it says something that Boise State is his first (and possibly still his only) scheduled visit. No doubt the coaching staff will be all in with their efforts to recruit him. Having a strong commit in Boyd there should help as well.
- Prediction: It is unlikely Thompson commits this weekend, but that doesn't mean he is viewing Boise State as a back-up option. Rather, he is still hoping to have other offers and visits in order to compare schools too. Still, there is nothing wrong with him having a great visit and Boise State becoming the standard he is comparing other schools and coaching staffs too.

4) SLB Bryson Jackson: The talented 3-star LB is top on the Bronco's board at the SAM/Nickel position. He told me at the end of August "Boise State and Tulane are the two schools I definitely want to visit, but Boise is the only one I have scheduled. The coaches are always telling me to commit." Jackson is also hoping for a Michigan offer and is in contact with their coaches, but I would imagine he is lower on their board compared to where he stands with BSU.
- Prediction: Jackson is 50/50 on committing. I could see the experience of the visit plus being clearly valued by the coaching staff as something that could win him over. But if he is holding out hope for Michigan (and to be clear, I don't know where he stands with the school other than they haven't offered), it would not make sense to commit this early in the process. However, I think he is a good bet to commit to the Broncos as some point this season.

5) SLB Quentin Brown: Brown is a 2-star DB and is being recruited at the same position as Jackson. At this time, it is unknown if there would take both of if they are competing for one spot. Regardless, Brown is a talented player and has been high on Boise State since May. He told me last night: that he is content with letting the process play out. "I want to take all of my visits before I commit. So I'll be gathering a lot of info this weekend in Boise." The only other visit he has right now is Colorado State in December.
- Prediction: It is almost certain Brown will not commit this weekend. First of all, he isn't looking too and second of all, there may only be one spot at his position. Still, if he is blown away, who knows.

6) S Tyreque Jones: The 3-star has great size for a safety at 6'3", 200 lbs and Boise State has had good luck recruiting Cali DBs for years. BYU and Utah State are two of his other prominent offers, so coming in for the Utah State game is nice. Other than that, not much else is known about Jones at this point.
- Prediction: I see Jones being very likely to commit to the Broncos this weekend or a few days after. It's strictly a guess, as I don't have much to go off of. Looking at who they've offered at safety, Jones is probably top on their board as far as realistic options go, so I think there is strong mutual interest there. Not being from Utah lessens the BYU/Utah State appeal in my opinion.

Also of note, DB George Hicks, a Washington State commit, who was rumored to be visiting this weekend will not be in Boise. He tells me that he is planning to visit BSU sometime this season but nothing is scheduled. Wazzu is aware of his intention to take other visits.

Bottom line, I would expect 1-2 commits from this group by this time next week, and there is a strong chance most if not all of these 6 could end up giving a verbal pledge to Boise State when it is all said and done. Recruiting can be contagious and if strong relationships are formed with this group and 1 or 2 commit, it could have an effect on some of the other players. Breydon Boyd especially figures to have a strong influence on the other recruits.
