Congrats on a big win against VA Tech, but they are still only one good team on a schedule of pansies plus a semi decent Oregon State. If after beating Penn State next week Alabama decided to quit the SEC to go play nothing but sun belt teams, would they be worthy to play in the BCS title game? Come to think of it, whats the motivation for any school to play a hard conference schedule if they can leapfrog everyone else by playing 2 decent opponents and then what is essentially a high school schedule? Its not the Boise fan's fault that y'all have the play in the WAC, but all the same you will pretty much ruin the competative spirit of football if you get a title bid over more deserving schools, so though it wont make a difference, I will nevertheless in the spirit of preserving all that is good and pure about football be rooting my damndest against yall for the rest of your games. Look the PAC10 went to 12.....and the Big 12 stood pat at 10. Take your arguments up with them.......We would happily take a spot in either of those conferences, but no one is offering....

Ruin the competitive spirit of football??? Really?? Its a beauty pageant not a sport. This competitive spirit of football you mention is alive and well in the NFL, D1AA, D2 and NAIA, but there is no such thing in D1.
All we have to do to maybe make a MNC game is go undefeated for three straight years. I'd say that more than balances out the fact that we play in the WAC (which we have no control over).

No you don't have to be flawless. One-loss SEC teams can easily get in the championship game, and three-loss teams from BCS conferences have made BCS bowls many times.
We're the ones that have to be flawless, and even then that doesn't guarantee us even a BCS bowl much less a shot at the MNC. Look at this year: if we run the table that's three consecutive undefeated regular seasons and we still have no guaranteed shot at a MNC...
And we're the ones calling for a playoff - not fans of BCS conferences. This is your crappy system, not ours, so quit getting pissy if we have some success.
