BOISE, Idaho – Boise State volleyball’s Lauren Ohlinger and Paige Bartsch have been named to the College Sports Communicators’ (CSC) Academic All-District Team – formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) – as announced Tuesday. This is the second time that Ohlinger has been recognized by this organization, while it is the first for Bartsch.

Ohlinger is a senior who just completed her final season in the blue and orange. The native of Phoenix finished her career ranked third all-time at Boise State for kills (1,358), third for kills per set (3.33), seventh for service aces (135) and ninth for aces per set (0.33). She set the school’s rally-scoring era records for career service aces and aces per set, as well as finished third for total points (1,611.5). She was the 2019 Mountain West Freshman of the Year, a two-time All-MW honoree, and a three-time Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-athlete. She will graduate this May with a degree in communication.

Meanwhile, Bartsch is a sophomore who is majoring in K-12 physical education. The Helena, Mont., native is coming off a standout campaign where she led the MW in kills (3.95) and points (4.55) per set at the conclusion of the regular season. Bartsch led the team in total kills (419) and points (482.0). She was also the 2021 MW Freshman of the Year, an Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honoree.

The 2022 CSC Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve on their respective teams and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.
