Broncos Set For ITA Mountain Regional Championships

- UP NOW: Boise State women's tennis heads south to Las Vegas for the 2022 ITA Mountain Regional Championships, Oct. 12-16 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus. Wednesday's first round gets under way with Round of 64 doubles at 10 a.m. MT followed by a full Round of 64 singles – with two flights.
- LAST TIME OUT: Last week the Broncos sent three players to compete in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. Pauline Ernstberger competed in singles while Joana Baptista and Nicole Discenza played doubles.
- RETURN TO REGIONALS: At last year's Mountain Regional Championships, Boise State went 9-6 in singles with five of the six Broncos advancing at least one round and three making it to the round of 16 of their respective flights. Then-freshman Bhakti Shah went 3-1 in singles, advancing to the quarterfinal round of the second flight.
- HOW ABOUT HOLLY: With a career singles record of 43-17 (.717), senior Holly Stewart currently sits 10th all-time in overall-singles win percentage in program history (minimum 40 matches to qualify).
- QUALITY FROM DISCENZA: Nicole Discenza has put together a solid fall season thus far for Boise State. The junior leads the Broncos in singles wins (8) and has gone 5-3 in doubles with partner Joana Baptista.
