SEVEN WORST IN THE BIG EAST FOR 2013 (2012 ranking)
# 107 - Memphis
# 94 - Houston
# 89 - South Florida
# 88 - Temple
# 80 - Connecticut
# 79 - S.M.U.
# 56 - Univ. of Central Florida
SEVEN WORST IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST FOR 2013 (2012 ranking)
# 117 - U.N.L.V.
# 115 - Hawaii
# 111 - New Mexico
# 101 - Colorado State
# 97 - Wyoming
# 86 - Air Force
# 73 - Nevada
Note that the 2013 Mountain West Conference will have FOUR teams which were among the 24 worst teams in Div. I-A football this season (U.N.L.V., Hawaii, New Mexico and Colorado State) whereas the 2013 Big East Conference will have only ONE team which was among the 24 worst teams in the nation this season (Memphis).
Note also that these seven 2013 Big East teams are collectively ranked 107 spots higher than these seven 2013 Mountain West teams - an average of more than 15 spots higher per team:
107 vs. 117 = Plus 10 for Big East
94 vs. 115 = Plus 21 for Big East
89 vs. 111 = Plus 22 for Big East
88 vs. 101 = Plus 13 for Big East
80 vs. 97 = Plus 17 for Big East
79 vs. 86 = Plus 7 for Big East
56 vs. 73 = Plus 17 for Big East
