One and one half million dollars to the Big West

COST - 6 1/2 million dollars in exit fees for BOTH conferences

Mountain West said to be covering three million dollars of those exit fees - Boise State's 2012-13 year-end distribution is expected to be 2.5 million - so this will be a net cost of only 500,000 to the MWC.

NET COST TO BOISE STATE - three and one half MILLION dollars

So the 2011 decision to join the sinking ship that is the Big East works out to be a 3.5 MILLION DOLLAR mistake for Boise State. It will take AT LEAST one more year to earn back that 3.5 million dollars. So that's basically TWO YEARS of revenue LOST due to this poor decision.
