D.J. Harper to Play in Texas vs. Nation All-Star Game

BOISE, Idaho ? [/B]Former Boise State running back D.J. Harper will be back in action tomorrow (Feb. 2, Saturday) when he plays in the Texas vs. Nation All-Star game.

Kickoff is 12:30 p.m. (MT) at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas. No live television broadcast is scheduled for the game.

A native of Cypress, Texas, (Cypress Creek HS), Harper is a member of the Texas team and will be wearing #24.

Last year as a senior for the Broncos, Harper started all 13 games and led the team in rushing with 1,137 yards, 15 touchdowns and a per-carry average of 5.0 to earn All-Mountain West Conference honorable mention honors. He also caught 23 passes for 163 yards and one touchdown, and returned seven kickoffs for 188 yards and a 26.9 per-return average.

Because of two early season ending knee injuries in 2009 and 2010, Harper was granted a sixth year of eligibility prior to the 2012 season.

Playing in a school record 54 games, Harper finished his career with 2,792 rushing yards to rank eighth all-time at Boise State, and 39 rushing touchdowns to rank fourth on the all-time.[/B]
