Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Postponed

BOISE, Idaho –
Boise State Athletics has postponed its 2020 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the department announced Friday.

“Our goal is to provide inductees and their guests with the appropriate level of recognition and experience they deserve,” director of athletics Jeramiah Dickey said. “Current conditions do not allow for us to do so at this time.

“Our inductees are aware and we will keep everyone posted as we define future scheduling opportunities for this event.”

The 2020 Boise State Athletics Hall of Fame Class was initially announced in February of 2020, and the induction ceremony was slated to be held during the 2020 football season before it was postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In June of 2020, Boise State announced it would postpone the event.

A year later, in June of 2021, the department announced its return, and set the event for Oct. 15, the night before the Broncos’ game against Air Force.

Future details regarding the enshrinement of the 2020 Hall of Fame Class will come at a later date.

The 2020 Hall of Fame Class includes Emma Bates (women's track & field), Gene Bleymaier (former director of athletics), Ben Cherrington (wrestling), Kurt Felix (men's track & field), Korey Hall (football) and Luke Shields (men's tennis).
