MOUNTAIN WEST TABBED FOR SEVEN COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES ON FACEBOOK

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – During the 2018 college football season, through a partnership with Stadium, the Mountain West will have seven games air exclusively on Facebook, a social media platform with more than 1.3 billion daily active users.


The seven-game package features four nonconference contests and three Conference showdowns. Utah State will be featured on Facebook on five occasions, while Air Force and Fresno State, which was predicted to win the MW West Division, will also have nonconference games broadcast by the social media platform. Air Force will open the 2018 Facebook MW package on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Noon MT when the Falcons host Stony Brook.


In 2017, six MW football games that aired on Facebook reached more than 17 million fans, led by Utah State at Wyoming on Oct. 14, which reached 4.6 million fans.

For the third consecutive year, the Mountain West will be heavily featured in the opening day of the college football season as two of the four games scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 25 will feature a MW institution. Hawai‘i travels to Colorado State for a 5:30 p.m. MT kick off on CBS Sports Network, while Wyoming plays at New Mexico State (6 p.m. MT).
