Plan to legalize drinking alcohol for BSU games status?

Does anyone here know what became of this proposed plan (that was proposed back in May)?? I never heard anything more on this myself.

Crickets... Heard nothing...

Personally I'm sort of split. I like the idea of money but drunks are awful at sporting events... Maybe have beer sections and not beer sections. Charge a little more for beer seat???

A libation or two I dig.... But loud smelly drunkards.... Not so much

I don't think the drinking policy inside the stadium will change.

What they (the city and Boise State ) are looking at is the current drinking restrictions around the university and the greenbelt and want to make it more uniform and enjoyable for those tailgating.

I heard the new parks and rec director was a little 'surprised' at the current policies. How members of the same tailgating group could be legally drinking alcohol on one side of a sidewalk while other members of the same group could be breaking the law by drinking on the other side of the sidewalk.

Hope they get it straightened out.
