imagine having to wait for game tape to be returned....used to have 2 copies in the can, by the time the big boys got done with them, it;d be in late May before you sent game tape of yourself... it's also why you did everything you could not to burn your redshirt, if you got a ride great, if not you went for the walk-on option as a 3 to play 2 guy. There were also the bounce back players who were recruited, got a ride, got on campus then didn't make it in the classroom, J.C route offers them a second chance.
I posted a link of the Mt SAC roster, they have 35 guys from out of the state, even a kid that went to Meridian.
