WSU, UNLV Kick Times Set

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State football team’s home opener against Washington State (Sept. 10) will kick at 8:15 p.m., and be televised by ESPN2, the Mountain West and ESPN announced Tuesday.

Additionally, the Broncos’ home game against UNLV (Nov. 18), already set for broadcast on ESPN2, will kick at 7 p.m. Kick time against the Rebels had been previously listed as either 7 or 7:30 p.m.

“Playing at night, under the lights to a national audience, has become part of who we are,” Director of Athletics Curt Apsey said. “We play on Thursdays, we play on Fridays, we play on a blue field and we play at night. We have embraced this as a department, and we need to find ways so that when the clock strikes midnight and we’re still playing, we look around Albertsons Stadium and see our fans embracing this as well.”

Of Boise State’s 12 regular-season games, 10 have already been picked up for national television. Only road games at Louisiana (Sept. 3) and Oregon State (Sept. 24) have yet to be announced, though details are expected in the coming weeks.

All but three of Boise State’s games from the last five seasons were nationally televised, and the Broncos are 94-22 (.810) since 1999 when playing on national television.
