BOISE, Idaho ? [/B]Boise State Head Football Coach Chris Petersen has announced the following updates regarding the Bronco roster:
Four junior college transfers joined the team at the beginning of the 2013 spring semester. They include defensive tackle Tutulupeatau "Deuce" Mataele from Mt. San Antonio (Calif.) College, cornerback Cleshawn Page from Los Angeles Harbor College, kicker Tyler Rausa from Riverside City (Calif.) College and running back Derrick Thomas from Butler Community (Kan.) College.
Wide receiver D.J. Dean and offensive lineman Archie Lewis started their Bronco careers this past month after grayshirting the 2012 fall season. Dean, from Eagle, Idaho (Eagle HS), and Lewis (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Rancho Cucamonga HS) originally signed National Letters of Intent with Boise State in February 2012.
Darren Lee also joined the football team in January 2013. A linebacker from Susanville, Calif. (Lassen HS), Lee served a two-year church mission after signing an NLI to play for the Broncos in February 2010.
The University also announced that Lee Hightower and Hayden Plinke are no longer students at Boise State. Both violated University rules and have been suspended from school.
